Psychologist - Burwood Clinic
Pantea Kousari-Rad

With just under 20 years of experience in private practice, Pantea brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in supporting individuals across the lifespan — from children as young as four to elderly adults. She has supported clients through a broad range of presentations and holds particular interest and extensive experience in the areas of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, ADHD, burnout, parenting concerns, social and relationship difficulties and addictive behaviours. Known for her warm, compassionate, and approachable manner, she creates a safe and supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, understood and empowered. She is deeply committed to helping individuals work toward meeting their goals, overcome personal challenges, and unlock their full potential. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Family and Relationship Therapy and Psychoeducation, delivered with empathy, insight, and a strong focus on creating meaningful, lasting change. Each treatment plan is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual, with the ultimate aim of fostering growth, resilience, and improved overall wellbeing.

Ashlee Rahmani

Ashlee enjoys working with individuals of all ages (children aged 8+, adolescents, and adults) who are navigating challenges at home, at work or in their social circles. Specifically, Ashlee commonly works with: - Anxiety - Depression - Stress - Unresolved/complex trauma - OCD/phobias - Relationship issues - Neurodiversity She is a warm and empathic clinician who understands the importance of developing a strong relationship with her clients and aims to create an honest and open space where they can safely explore both their current and past experiences. She works collaboratively with clients to build their understanding of themselves, and resilience for future challenges that may arise. Ashlee tailors evidence-based therapies to individual clients, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and elements of schema therapy and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT). Ashlee has completed her Masters of Psychology (Clinical) and has experience working in clinical and educational settings across both public and private sectors. Such settings have included adult community mental health teams, schools, and private practice.

Zoe Heffernan

Zoe currently sees children (ages 5+), adolescents and parents. Zoe is a registered Psychologist, having completed her Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Monash University. Zoe has prior experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both educational settings and private practice. She is proficient in psychological assessment, intervention, and counselling and uses a variety of evidence-based frameworks including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and play therapy. Zoe is dedicated to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in youths, with a passion for working with children and adolescents. Zoe has experience working with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, OCD, emotional dysregulation, attachment issues, complex trauma, and neurodevelopmental diagnoses such as Autism and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). With a compassionate, client-centred, and neuro-affirming approach, Zoe collaborates closely with her clients to develop tailored interventions that meet their unique needs and goals. She is dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to help individuals and families thrive.

Alyce Giannakis

Alyce is a registered Psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults, supporting them across a broad range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns. She holds a Master of Professional Psychology and has experience across private practice, educational, and hospital settings, where she has facilitated therapeutic group programs and delivered individual support to clients with complex needs. Alyce supports clients presenting with: •Anxiety and depression •Panic Disorder •Emotional Dysregulation •OCD •Work and study stress •Self-harm and suicidality •Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments She is also experienced in conducting psychological assessments, including cognitive, behavioural, and personality measures such as the WISC-V, WAIS-IV, CBCL, and PAI. These assessments guide her work with families, schools, and support teams to provide specific and practical recommendations. Her therapeutic approach draws on evidence-based frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and play-based interventions. In hospital settings, Alyce has co-facilitated group programs focused on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and social skills for young people facing acute mental health challenges. Through a warm, empathetic, and collaborative style, Alyce supports each client to explore their experiences, build self-awareness, and work toward meaningful personal goals. She is committed to delivering neuro-affirming, developmentally informed care that empowers individuals and strengthens support systems around them.

Over the past 18 years, I have worked in medical administration, where I’ve developed strong skills in communication, word processing, database management, and client care. For the last 3 years, I’ve successfully ran my own virtual business, continuing to support psychologists and other allied health professionals. I’m passionate about delivering high-quality support, fostering client-focused relationships, and take pride in my strong organisational and time management abilities for small businesses.
